Under the artistic direction of Jaime Laredo, the Vermont Symphony Orchestra has earned kudos across the country. Founded almost 70 years ago, it performed at the 1939 New York Worlds Fair and, in recognition of its stature as the countrys first state-supported orchestra, played 50th birthday party concerts in all 251 cities and town in Vermont. Every summer, this ensemble that truly belongs to the people makes a statewide tour, offering a series of eight concerts at some of the most beautiful outdoor locations throughout Vermont. Each concert features a different theme, including pops, show music, classical, and more. Group rates are offered with advance reservations.
