The Southern Regional Council (SRC) will present “Brown v. Board of Education: A Dream in Balance” a gala dinner and awards celebration on Tuesday, April 29, 2004 at 6:00pm at the J.W. Marriott Hotel at Lenox in Atlanta. The event will honor outstanding individuals who have contributed to the struggle for equal access to quality education and share the history of this landmark case while examining challenges to the continuing struggle for school desegregation. The Dinner Chair for “Brown v. Board of Education: A Dream in Balance,” is Richard Riley, former US Secretary of Education and the Mistress of Ceremonies is Michele Norris, Host of All Things Considered, National Public Radio.
