"A Sacred Ceremony Honoring Dr. Clarke's Spirit" Atlanta, GA - May 15 and 16, 2004 - The NSAA Family, including Mama Marimba Ani, Iya Mudiwa Odeleye and Afiya and Wekesa Madzimoyo, invite you to the Abakosem SunSum Sacred Ceremony to honor Scholar/Warrior, Dr. John Henrik Clarke, to help pass on his legacy, and to witness the unveiling of his bust! Celebrate personal memories and testimonies from those whose lives were transformed via Dr. Clarke. Our youth will demonstrate their readiness to continue his legacy. Africans from around the country will gather to participate in a traditional Ancestral ceremony, followed by the dramatic unveiling of the Bust. The Bust will be taken to his shrine in Ghana for a celebration on July 24, 2004. On Sunday, May 16th we ask that you dress in all WHITE AFRIKAN ATTIRE and bring flowers for the Ancestral Shrine.
