STOA Restaurant and Wine Bar in Palo Alto gets a 10 for Brunch from CitySearch and a 9.8 overall. It's gotten some pretty good reviews from the San Francisco Chronicle, the San Jose Mercury News and the Silicon Valley Metro. Technically, it's an upscale vegetarian place, but the reviews tell me that even meat-lovers will not be disappointed.
After brunch, around 3pm, anyone up for ice skating can join me at the Winter Lodge, about 1.5 miles away. Winter Lodge is "the first permanent outdoor icerink west of the Sierras," and definitely someplace we should go this winter.
