Info:
The Young Professional’s of the Southern Center for International Studies’ present their fifth annual wine tasting, “Wines Around the World”, featuring a collection of wines from across the globe. On Friday, May 20, 2005 from 7pm -10pm, the Historic Goodrum House at 320 West Paces Ferry Road will host this YP signature fundraiser to benefit the continued programs of the Southern Center for International Studies. Guests can sample South African wines, best known for the indigenous Pinotage, a spicy red with a wild fruitiness and considerable complexity. True wine connoisseurs will value wines from Moldova, a small, southeastern European country that is the legendary birthplace of winemaking. Amidst the tasting and the toasting, guests will have opportunities to bid on restaurant dinners, wine collections and more during the silent auction while enjoying belly dance performances by Carole Montaru and Latin dance performances by Angela Wells and Jonathan Page.
