AAHSA members gathered for an innovative conference looking at the model presented in the book Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap . . . And Others Don't to achieve excellence in aging services. The conference featured a keynote workshop from author Jim Collins. Good to Great identifies the qualities necessary for an organization to achieve, maintain and nurture excellent performance in its field. Following the opening half-day workshop, six learning lab education sessions used Collins' not yet released diagnostic tool to help participants complete a self-evaluation to determine their organizations' needs and abilities for attaining sustainable greatness
