Every child deserves a safe, loving home. However, there are more than 100,000 children in North America’s foster care systems. On Thursday, November 16, 2006 at 6 p.m., a fundraising event will be held to benefit the North America Council on Adoptable Children (NACAC). The event will be held at Dee’s Restaurant, located at 1114 W. Armitage Avenue in Chicago. The target donation is $25, and all proceeds will be donated to North America Council on Adoptable Children.
This event focuses on the importance of National Adoption Awareness Month, and adoptee Thomas Brooks (MPN Co-Founder) will be the featured speaker. His award-winning new book, A Wealth of Family: An Adopted Son's International Quest for Heritage, Reunion, and Enrichment (ISBN 0977462935), recently became an Amazon bestseller for adoption titles. Guests will receive a complimentary copy of his book.
