The Miami Short Film Festival (MsFF) is thrilled to announce its 9th edition which promises to continue supporting local and international filmmakers. As in previous years, we are overwhelmed with film submissions from all corners of the globe representing over 30 countries, including Australia, Iran, Japan, Mexico and Argentina, with more than 500 submissions received to date.
Miami Short Film Festival’s 9th edition runs from November 13 through 20, 2010 with two different screening venues- the Coral Gables Art Cinema and the landmark Little Havana Tower Theatre. This year the Festival’s presence will be heavily focused in the City of Coral Gables in the newly refurbished state-of-the art Coral Gables Art Cinema as the main venue. We will also be partnering with City of Coral Gables neighborhood entities such as the New Museum of Coral Gables, the well-known Books and Books, as well restaurants and hotels in the area.
“The short film genre is a dynamic, exciting, yet brief expression of art,” MsFF Founder and Director William Vela said. “As in previous years, this 9th edition of the Festival promises to showcase the short film genre - which is as old as cinematography itself – as viewed through the lenses of filmmakers from around the world.”
Reserve the date - tickets for the 2010 Miami short Film Festival will go on sale on three weeks before (November 13th 2010). For more information, visit www.miamishortfilmfestival.com.
