Hosts 17th Diversity Career Networking Event

U.S. State Department Careers in Foreign Affairs Diversity Networking Event

"As Secretary of State, I believe that smart people are at the heart of smart power.  America needs its best and brightest young people to renew our commitment to diplomacy and leadership across the world.

 

I invite you to serve our country, and begin by attending our next Diversity Career Networking Event.  Come learn about important career opportunities from experienced Foreign Service Officers, Foreign Service Specialists, and Civil Service professionals, who will discuss the important work you could do to represent and protect our country."

You will have the opportunity to meet representatives who will share their experiences about life and work with the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. and overseas.  Network with your peers while learning about careers in the Foreign Service.  You'll discover how your current experience, knowledge, and skills can transition into one of the most unique careers in the world.

 

The Washington, DC event is part of a national effort to ensure that the U.S. Department of State looks more like the face of America.  Representatives will be present in an effort to recruit more mid-career professional Latinos, African Americans, Women, and other people with diverse skill sets, educational and cultural backgrounds. All interested persons are invited to attend, and must RSVP to obtain entry.
