The Department of Pediatrics at the David Geffen School of Medicine (DGSOM) at UCLA seeks individuals with strong clinical and teaching skills who are board certified/board eligible in general pediatrics to serve as a pediatric hospitalist. This is a full-time position. Candidates will be hired as faculty in the clinical professor series within DGSOM and will have the opportunity for career development and mentorship in the areas of medical education, quality improvement, and other scholarly endeavors.
The primary need is for the care of pediatric inpatients in an academic setting supervising pediatric residents, and providing consultation services to the emergency department, surgical services, and more. Occasional weeks on nonteaching or subspecialty services may be included. Candidates must have a strong interest in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as in engaging in scholarly work that will lead to academic promotion. FACULTY INTERN MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS(a)For those disciplines in which a master's degree is required, faculty interns shall be enrolled in a master's or doctoral program at the University of California, the California State University, or any other accredited institution of higher education subject to Chapter 3 (commencing with Section 94300) of Part 59 of the Education Code, and shall have completed at least one-half of the coursework, or the equivalent, in that graduate program. (b)For those disciplines for which a master's degree is not expected or required, the faculty intern shall possess any license or certificate required to do that work and (1) be within one year of completing the associate degree and have six years industry experience in the discipline, OR(2) have completed the associate degree and have completed five years of industry experience in that discipline. (c) Faculty interns shall only be assigned to teach or to serve in a discipline in which they would be legally qualified to teach or render service upon completion of their graduate studies or associate degree and six years of industry experience in that discipline. A faculty intern shall be limited to two years of participation in the program. (d) Each faculty intern shall serve under the direct supervision of a mentor who is legally qualified to teach the course or render the service that the faculty intern is providing. Evidence of demonstrated cultural competency, personal and professional life experience, and enthusiasm in serving the diverse academic, socioeconomic, gender identity, sexual orientation, racial, and cultural backgrounds of community college student populations, including students with differing abilities (physical and/or learning), as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practices within the classroom.

Position Summary
The research administrative coordinator is a detail-oriented, adaptable, organized, and communicative individual that advises Principal Investigators and researching's in preparing grant proposals and maintaining post-award grant/contract accountability and compliance, in accordance with funding agency award agreements, university policy, and general accounting principles and procedures.
The position interprets federal/state guidelines and requirements and provides support in adhering to legal, policy, and technical requirements. Using the Banner Financial System and Excel includes maintaining shared ledgers for grants funds, cost share funds, matching funds (external and internal), and other related research funds.
This position will evaluate and approve purchase requisitions, place orders, process invoice payments, journal vouchers, Personal Services Contracts, and travel reimbursements. The position will verify the accuracy of receipts and expense claims, and review account files to ensure audit trail requirements are met. The position will assist faculty and staff as needed with completing travel requests and expense reports through the University's Concur travel system and ensures compliance with sponsor, IRS, State, and UO policies.
Minimum Requirements
• Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field.
• Two years of progressively responsible experience in business, finance, or compliance administration, including experience with project planning.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience.
