Support local music and get VIP treatment at San Francisco's grandest nightclub, the Great American Music Hall. Indulge in a 3-course meal and a signature cocktail to the exceptional sounds of the San Francisco Rock Music Association (SFRMA).
Take a journey through San Francisco's musical history, starting the moment you step through the doors of the Great American Music Hall. The Great American Music Hall will carry you back to an earlier, more elegant era, with its ornate balconies, soaring marble columns and elaborate ceiling frescoes. You and your date will enjoy the best seats in the house, one of the famous bar's signature cocktails, and a 3-course meal topped off with an indulgent dessert.
Then you can either sit back and relax or get up to dance while the talented musicians of San Francisco Rock Music Association (SFRMA.org) perform two influential and emblematic New Wave Albums of the last thirty- The Smith's "The Queen is Dead" and Joy Division's "Unknown Pleasures."
While you savor San Francisco's fantastic food, spirits, and music, you'll also be supporting music programs at local schools to which SFRMA.org will be giving all of the proceeds.
About the Great American Music Hall
The Great American Music Hall is steeped in local music history. From its earliest days as Blanco's - a favorite haunt of the Barbary Coast, to its reinvention as Sally Rand's Music Box in the 1930s, until it became the Great American Music Hall in the 1970s the building has seen it all. The large photo of Sally Rand's Fan Dancers near the entrance harkens you back to the Thirties and prepares you as you enter into this grand old ballroom, which still boasts the same ornate moldings and towering columns of yesteryear. If these walls could talk!
Today, professional sound & lighting systems, two full bars, and a modern kitchen help to blend contemporary quality with turn-of-the-century beauty.
