Sometimes the best way to promote ethical practices, cultural diversity, and professionalism in the workplace is to learn stories from real people who have demonstrated these values. In an engaging presentation, Marty Brounstein shares such a story from his book, Two Among the Righteous Few: A Story of Courage in the Holocaust.
It's about a Christian couple in the Netherlands, who despite great risk and danger, help save the lives of at least two dozen Jews from certain death during World War II and the Holocaust. It's an inspirational story that also has a personal connection for Marty, which he will explain in his heartfelt presentation.
After engaging with the story directly, the workshop promotes discussion exploring the following topics:
* Lessons of ethics and integrity the two heroes of the story demonstrate * Practices done in your organization to promote ethics and professionalism * The link between ethics and professionalism, what you can do in your job to lead by example
