The Cantonese Opera Orchestra preserves the elaborate structure of its regional music, integrating traditional form and instruments with Western strings to create a harmonious art.
Torn apart by war and history, the reunited Jewish and Muslim musicians of El Gusto Orchestra form a living tribute to the universal power of music. Together they celebrate Chaabi, a North African style that weaves chanson, jazz, and snatches of tango to create a swirling and improvisatory sound, surging from the haunted to the bluesy, from the devotional to the knees-up spirit.
