Mali Weekend Festival! Extending Mali's rich musical tradition, we are bringing together two of the country's most compelling artists over the course of one weekend. Fatoumata Diawara presents a joyous mix of the vibrant and understated, combining songs about love, politics, and empowerment. Tinariwen bring thirty years of rebellion, guitars, desert nomad culture, and the real Saharan blues to a sound that recently won them a Grammy for Best World Music Album.
