STREAMING MUSIC Take a boat ride down the Rhine with Robert Schumann's SYMPHONY No. 3 (The Rhennish). You can practically feel the wind on your face during the Scherzo's riveting melody. Winchester Orchestra, under the baton of guest conductor, Joseph Ordaz, also presents Richard Strauss's graceful and melodious SERENADE FOR WINDS (written at age 17!), and Music Director Henry Mollicone conducts excerpts from his IN TIME OF WAR. Mollicone composed this piece in response to the 9/11/01 disaster juxtaposing sung prayers with orchestral movements related to warfareAlison Collins, soprano soloist. Also on the program John Adams' TROMBA LONTANA creates an almost ethereal atmosphere with its lyrical, mystical sounds.
