Soundwave ((6)) Water in partnership with the National Park Service takes you into the wilderness for a sonic adventure like no other. High up in the hills of the Marin Headlands, overlooking the Pacific Ocean, lies a structure steeped with history, Battery Townsley at Fort Cronkhite. The dramatic acoustics of the fortification create infinite swells of sound used in performances by Chris Duncan, Travis Johns and Jim Haynes. Co-curated by Jorge Bachmann.
The Infinite Swell is part of Soundwave, San Francisco's acclaimed biennial of innovative sound, art and music. This summer-long Soundwave ((6)) festival explores our sonic connections to water, our most important natural resource.
