Tenth anniversary of this popular urban trek sets out from Upper Noe Valley to cover 12+ miles, 10 peaks. Participants will see the city a whole new way, trekking 12 miles along the spine of San Francisco, enjoying spectacular views from 10 different peaks. This full-day urban adventure follows the city's paths and hidden stairways while raising funds to make San Francisco a safer, better place to walk every day. To celebrate the 10th anniversary, walkers can register with a team of 10-20 friends or colleagues, and learn about Walk SF advocacy wins along the walk.
Following a new route this year, walkers will start from Upper Noe Valley, climbing up to Diamond Heights, then over to San Francisco's Twin Peaks. A delicious picnic lunch will be served in Golden Gate Park, before climbing the final peaks on the way to Land's End. The trek ends with a well-earned beer celebration at the Park Chalet across from Ocean Beach.
The walk is guided, and all participants will get directions at the event. Walkers should be ready for fog, sun, dirt trails, staircases, and of course, city streets. Lunch is provided to all to enjoy in a meadow en route, and as this is an urban hike, coffee and snacks can also be purchased as you go.
Registration: Starts at $95 and includes a year's Walk SF membership, morning coffee and breakfast, lunch, snacks and celebration at the Park Chalet.
WIN PRIZES: Optional: Participants who help raise funds as part of their walk through rally.org can win prizes.
