Ovarian cancer survivors, family members, friends, co-workers and supporters will wear teal clothing to help raise awareness for ovarian cancer, which causes more deaths than any other cancer of the female reproductive system. Locally, this initiative is sponsored by the Colorado Ovarian Cancer Alliance (COCA). National Wear Teal Day takes place annually on the first Friday in September and is part of a series of events for National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month.
