Over 150 beautiful new, gently used, and premier designer handbags and an entertaining presentation on fashion by Babette Pinsky of Oakland with boutiques across the country including, San Francisco, Chicago, and New York will highlight the luncheon which is co-chaired by Jill Jerrehian, Terri Carville and Kimber Sturm.
Proceeds will benefit Peninsula Volunteers programs: Meals on Wheels Little House, The Roslyn G. Morris Activity Center and Rosener House Adult Day Services.
Designer bags by Judith Leiber, Nancy Gonzales, ETRO, and Valentino to name a few, will entice the bargain shopper, and baubles such as a South China Sea Pearl necklace donated by Darlene Woodson of Atherton and intriguing "mystery boxes" filled with special surprises will encourage bidding frenzies.
Bold texture, brilliant style, the Babette line is a locally made clothing collection for women who live with purpose. As a designer, artist of fashion, and producer of timeless "American Made" merchandise since 1968, Babette has been nominated for the 2014 Martha Stewart American Made Award.
For 67 years, Peninsula Volunteers has created and provided high quality and nurturing programs for the aging on the Peninsula, allowing them to pursue long and useful lives. Each year Peninsula Volunteers delivers over $5 million in services, including over 130,000 hot meals to seniors and the homebound, and impacts over 4,500 households through its programs: Meals on Wheels Little House, The Roslyn G. Morris Activity Center Rosener House Adult Day Services and Peninsula Volunteers Properties, Inc.
