Bayou City Outdoors Graffiti Ride Round Two 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM Sunday, November 16, 2014 Meeting in the Houston Zoo parking lot 6200 Hermann Park Dr Houston, TX 77030
Have you noticed the ever-evolving outdoor artwork adorning the city these days? Well, we have! Our first graffiti ride was such a hit we knew we had to do it again. Graffiti has moved from outlaw to street law, and some of the top artists and newcomers are painting it up right here in Houston. We’ll be riding around H-town checking out some of the more prominent and promising graphics to be seen. Most of the ride today is on the streets of Houston, so DON’T forget your helmet – if you do, we will have a few to lend.
We’ll wind down the day at Bodegas Taco Shop in the Museum District for some tacos and a margarita or two. So bring some cash, your bike, helmet and see art like you have never seen it before, right from the seat of your bike!
No bike? No worries! You can pick up a bike from the B-Cycle kiosk around town:http://houston.bcycle.com/home.aspx Or - go to one of your local bikes shops like: West End Bicycles @ www.westendbikes.com, Bike Barn -@http://bikebarn.com/, Planetary Cycles @ http://planetarycycles.com/, or Houston Cycling Centres @http://northwestcyclery.com/.
Meet on the far RIGHT side of the zoo parking lot (away from the main entrance near the outside gift shop and Pinewood Cafe) look for the yellow BCO signs.
