Open Studios at WorkSpace is a unique opportunity to visit artists in their studios, to see their work, and to learn about their process. WorkSpace is a vintage industrial building with more than 30 artists' studios under one roof. The artists at Workspace represent diverse artistic viewpoints and work in a wide range of media that include painting, mixed media, assemblage, installation, sculpture, jewelry, photography, film, ceramics, collage, and printmaking.
Many of the artists have exhibited nationally and internationally, and are represented in a variety of galleries and museums. The expansive talent at Workspace includes a printmaking teacher from California College of the Arts, an art therapist with California Institute of Integral Studies, a participant in the Sundance Film Festival, and a leader of workshops with rural artists in Africa and Asia. The building's inspiring architecture and many skylights enhance the viewing experience. WorkSpace is located at 2150 Folsom St., in the Mission bet. 17th & 18th st., free to attend with plenty of parking.
