Alonzo King LINES Ballet's Fall Home Season features King's latest ballet set to four Shostakovich string quartets. Resolute and sharply charged, the dancers revel on the brink of disorder in a state of finely calibrated explosivity. The fall season also heralds the return of "Rasa," King's "most joyous and transporting collaboration" (Rachel Howard). Rich and incandescent, "Rasa" unfurls to the percussive rhythms of live accompaniment by tabla master Zakir Hussain and classical Indian violinist Kala Ramnath.
On opening night, join Alonzo King, LINES dancers, and special guests for the After Party at the St. Regis Hotel, just steps away from Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. Enjoy wine and hors d'oeuvres immediately following the performance on Friday, November 14. Tickets to this exclusive event are limited and can be purchased with your opening night performance ticket for an additional $100.
Following the November 19 & 20 performances, stay for a post-show talk with Artistic Director and choreographer Alonzo King.
