We owe our country's veterans so much that just one day of honoring them isn't enough. That's why Murphy-Goode Winery is teaming up with Operation Homefront to host a barbecue and wine tasting event on Saturday, November 8 to thank veterans and honor them leading up to our nation's Veterans Day. Murphy-Goode's Grill Sergeant Dirk Yeaton will be working his magic on the grill. Dirk, a former Army chef, is now proud to be Murphy-Goode's chef and grill master. He'll be cooking up some great barbecue fare for veterans from 12 - 4 p.m. at the Murphy-Goode Tasting Room, located just off of Healdsburg Square, 20 Matheson Street.
Cost for the event will be $10 with proceeds benefiting Operation Homefront, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing military families and wounded warriors with emergency financial assistance. We're inviting local veterans to come enjoy the day and we'll pick up the tab. Murphy-Goode has partnered with Operation Homefront since 2011 and last year released a red wine blend, Homefront Red with 50 cents from each bottle sold benefitting Operation Homefront.
Come by and say thank you to a veteran or share a story about the special veteran in your life. Murphy-Goode will be honoring veterans through Veterans Day with tastings on us for any vets that come in between Saturday, November 8 - Tuesday, November 11.
