Sevdah is the traditional music genre of urban town centers of old Bosnia and Herzegovina. This performance will feature sevdalinke by Muhamed Kocan, Rasima AlisicoKlisturic, and Hajrudin Hajric. Bosnian performers now residing in the San Francisco Bay Area. Their guest will be Selmah Kapidzic, accompanied by her father Adnan Kapidzic. Selmah is the youngest public performer of Sevdah music in North America. As an artist, she is known as the "young girl with an old woman soul". The band will also include Dzevad Zeric - accordion, Dzenan Gacanovic - key board and arrangements, and Barbara Deutch - clarinet. The Bosnian dance ensemble, Mladost Bosne, will perform. Bosnian food will be available.
