Join two successful east-west investors for a forward-looking conversation about mobile Internet company trends in China, and their implications for future innovation and economic growth.
Jerry Yang, co-founder of Yahoo!, was a pivotal figure in building the company's relationship with Alibaba. Now Founding Partner and prolific investor at AME Cloud Ventures, Yang is also on the board of directors for Alibaba, Lenovo, and Workday. Hans Tung is an early investor in Xiaomi and Ehi Car Services, and board member of Curse Voice, Flightcar, and Wish where Yang is also an early investor. He was recognized by the Forbes Midas List in 2013 and 2014 and is a managing partner at GGV Capital, the venture capital firm known for its US and China investments including Alibaba and Pandora.
Among the most highly regarded thought leaders in China and Asia, Yang and Tung will share their up-to-the-minute insights: What can Silicon Valley learn from the 500 million smartphone users in China? What are China-based mobile and Internet companies doing differently? What trends will have the greatest impact-from elevated R&D investing to business model innovation? What are the important lessons learned that can be applied in the US and elsewhere?
