QUILT San Francisco 2015 - Quilting, has evolved from a traditional into a contemporary fiber art form. Quilts are exhibited in museums, corporate settings, interior design, and in private collections. Fabric art may manipulate textile with dye, stitching, and embellishments to create TEXTURE, DESIGN and COLOR resulting in VISUAL IMPACT and STORIES IN CLOTH ! This two day show offers the chance to meet many of the artists and features 300 new quilts and wearable art, a nationally known featured artist and other special exhibits. We have an exciting line-up that makes this an event not to be missed with something for all ages. This is the 16th quilt show and sale and is only held every odd year here in San Francisco.

Featured Artist: Velda Newman is a nationally recognized fiber artist. Her large scale art quilts are in private and public collections. She uses different art techniques such as handquilting, hand dyeing fabrics to produce her fabulous quilts.
Included in this show are 300+ new SFQG Member Quilts and Wearable pieces. There will be Special Exhibits: Don't miss Ms. Newman's Artist Tours, Vendors, Members' Boutique, Handquilting Demonstrations with the Dorcas Quilters, Activity Corner - Create with Fabric, and Refreshments available to purchase.
