Info:
Hosted by the South Asian Heart Center at El Camino Hospital, Scarlet Night -an affair of the heart is a signature Silicon Valley event, attended by over 700+ philanthropists, physicians, and business/community leaders.
It serves as a stage for the Center to raise funds as it addresses the twin epidemics of heart disease and diabetes among South Asians (who have more than four times the risk of heart disease than the general population) by extending reach of awareness campaigns, enlarging scope of prevention services, expanding network of trained physicians, and enhancing risk prediction with research efforts. All donations fund the Center's Outreach, Prevention, Education, and Research initiatives to reduce heart disease and diabetes in the community among South Asians.
The evening will begin with a cocktail networking reception in the Mission City Room where guests will have a chance to mingle, enjoy hors d'oeuvres and drinks. The reception will be followed by a heart healthy banquet dinner and an evening of dancing, poker and entertainment.
Featuring guest of honor, Raghava KK, named by CNN as one of the 10 most remarkable people in 2010, one of the top 25 NRIs of 2014, and a 4-time TED speaker. He was among the first artists to be inducted into the National Geographic Society as an Emerging Explorer for bringing together art, technology, and science.
Gala color attire is mimosa.
