About the Presenter
Nancy C. Nelson, SPHR-CA, GPHR is the principal of HRProse, LLC, a human resources consultancy dedicated to building HR policies and practices that work for small enterprises. Established in 2006, Nancy works with companies in high-tech, manufacturing, service, non-profit, education and other sectors. Nancy has facilitated the PHR-SPHR certification prep course for NCHRA. She is also the program coordinator for the HR Management program at UCSC Extension Silicon Valley and was an adjunct faculty member in the school of business management for California State University, East Bay. Nancy has held various volunteer leadership positions with the Society for Human Resource Management at national, state and local levels, including president of the Bay Area Human Resource Executives Council, president of the Santa Clara Valley Chapter of SHRM, and director of the California State Council of SHRM.
