The weekend of March 27-29 is a busy one for us. We have both our own large instrumental program and a joint production of Handel's opera Ariodante with Black Box Baroque. When Handel wrote Ariodante, he was at the peak of his success in London, and it is arguably his finest work in this medium. We were able to hire a large group for the Handel, and expanded from there to our own production including some nifty wind show-off music by Dresden composer J D Heinichen, as well as Bach and Telemann favorites.
