Founded in September 2013, the Oakland Interfaith Community Choir is over 75 members strong. It is the latest addition to the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir family and in addition to their own performances, OICC has joined OIGC on stage at the Historic Paramount Theatre in Oakland and at OIGC's Spring Musical. Audiences of all ages will be entertained by this uplifting music. Last year's concert was standing room only- get your tickets today!
The Monterey Peninsula Gospel Community Choir was founded by director John Nash Jr., in 2008. The choir grew quickly and today has nearly 80 members on their roster. An offshoot of the Monterey Peninsula Gospel Festival, the mission of MPGCC is to create and expand an atmosphere where people can learn about the history as well as the current state of Gospel music. The choir debuted at the Victor Temple along side the group the Japanese Voices from Tokoyo, Japan. They have collaborated with Edwin Hawkins & Richard Smallwood and this year, the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir. Mr. Nash has a strong vision to enlighten people on what Gospel Music is really all about. www.mpgospelcc.org
