Join us for a fall day filled with fun children's activities, a gorgeous plant sale, horticultural resources, displays, garden demonstrations, food, entertainment, and of course...digging for worms!
This event is free of charge and is open to the community. Everyone is welcome. Throughout the day, neighbors, friends, volunteers, and families will be entertained, educated, and inspired.
-Kids can make flower arrangements with The Garden Club of Palo Alto to take home.
-Join the Palo Alto Children's Library for story times (11:30 a.m. & 1:00 p.m.) and activities all day.
-Canopy will offer fun activities for tree huggers of all ages!
-Bring a picnic or visit the Grilled Cheese Bandits food truck for lunch. And finish with Sooz's Moo local, handcrafted ice cream!
-Climb aboard a Palo Alto Fire Truck or sit in a Police Car!
-Explore the garden on your own or with an "Explorer" map for kids.
-Explore our "Global Community" with the Children's Events Committee under the Oak Tree - get a passport and travel throughout the garden - and celebrate with a birthday cupcake!
-Happily Ever Laughter will perform magic shows (11:30 a.m. & 12:00 p.m.) weaving together a story with magical things happening along the way...
Families - enjoy a day outdoors with your children (or grandchildren!) by exploring the garden, making crafts, picnicking for lunch, digging for worms, and more!
Friends, neighbors, and gardeners - stroll through the formal and demonstration gardens, shop at the plant sale, enjoy lunch, investigate horticultural resources, learn the history of the house and the garden, and more!
Our Plant Sale will include a variety of iris, a superb succulent collection, salvias, succulent container gardens, and much more! Many of these plants are propagated by Gamble volunteers. They are all of the highest quality. Our staff and the Master Gardeners will be on site to answer all of your gardening questions.
