In these two fast-paced days, you'll learn CFT from one of the US's leading experts in the model. Through direct, experiential exercises, including a range of focused imagery practices, you'll directly contact your compassionate mind. The deliberate activation of your compassionate mind can generate emotional strength and psychological flexibility necessary for the challenging work of clinical psychotherapy. This workshop will take you on an experiential journey into compassionate imagery, meditation practice, and effective means for training our minds in fierce compassion and mindful courage. You'll learn how cultivating compassion can undermine the impact of anxiety, worry and shame based self-criticism and explore how CFT methods can help address the narrowing influence of threat-based behavioral patterns. At the end of the workshop, you'll have a valuable set of skills you can use to help your clients move towards lives of greater meaning and vitality.
