The Grace Note Chamber Players, founded in 2010, presents programs of rare and beautiful chamber music to Bay Area audiences. They will perform the Dvorak String Quartet op.104 and Robert Fuchs String Quartet No.3.
Claudia Bloom, violin, began her studies in Berkeley, earning her Bachelor of Music degree at the Manhattan School of Music. She received the Karl Kraeuter Award for Outstanding Achievement in Chamber Music and completed her Master of Music degree at the Yale School of Music. Ms. Bloom has performed with her twin sister, Madeline Bloom (pianist) and brother, Jonathan (cellist). Currently, she plays principal second violin in Opera San Jose and teaches privately in Palo Alto and at Santa Clara University where she also performs.
Geoffrey Noer started playing the violin at age six. He is Concertmaster of the Mission Chamber Orchestra of San Jose and has been with the group since its founding in 1996. An avid chamber musician, he holds a computer science degree and enjoys a successful high technology career in Silicon Valley.
Russ Bartoli is a cellist and chamber musician. He received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Southern California School of Music and was a member of the Trio della Rosa and the Pro Musica String Quartet. Mr. Bartoli is co-director of the Golden Gate Chamber Players and is principal cellist of the Bay Area Rainbow Symphony in San Francisco.
Violist Wendy Clymer studied at Brown University, The Juilliard School and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She has performed with the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra, Oklahoma City Philharmonic, MacArthur String Quartet and Resonance Jazz Ensemble. A music educator, she has served as president of the San Francisco Section of the American String Teachers Association. She has been a translator and tour guide in Berlin, Germany a financial aid counselor and a paralegal.
