The Choral Project (TCP), the award-winning, community-based choir celebrating its 20th Anniversary Season announces a one-night-only concert with the acclaimed, UK-based vocal ensemble, The King's Singers, Tuesday, February 23, 2016, 7:30 pm at Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph in San Jose.
Together for the first time, The Choral Project will share the stage with The King's Singers. Each group will offer a program of solo repertoire, as well as combine to sing music by Bob Chilcott and Eric Whitacre. The Choral Project, The King's Singers and the San Jose State University Choraliers will also sing a special setting of the "Irish Blessing" by conductor Daniel Hughes.
This unique one-night-only concert also represents the last opportunity for Bay Area fans to see David Hurley of the King's Singers perform. Mr. Hurley is the beloved first counter tenor of the King's Singers who is retiring this year after more than 25 years with the ensemble.
