CELEBRATING EARTH ISLAND'S 34 YEARS OF GROWING ENVIRONMENTAL LEADERSHIP
Earth Island's Something Wild Dinner at David Brower Center on June 11th from 6:30 - 9:00 pm is a celebration of our three decades of achievements in growing environmental leadership.
In all that we do, we draw on the inspiration of the "wildness within" that our founder David Brower so cherished.
Join us for this festive evening that celebrates the inspiration of the wild:
View "Common Ground: A Celebration of Our National Parks," the Brower Center's Summer 2016 juried art show in The Hazel Wolf Gallery, celebrating the 100th anniversary the the U.S. National Park Service.
Then join us on the Brower Center's 2nd floor Terrace to enjoy drinks and hors d'oeuvres - and mingle with the Earth Island community.
We'll then move into the Tamalpais Room to enjoy a local, seasonal, organic, plant-based meal, and we'll hear from the Earth Island team, with a brief talk by our guest of honor, Joanna Macy. And, in archival video, we will hear some moving thoughts from Dave Brower himself.
Please join us for this very special evening. http://www.eii.org/wildtix/
AND HONORING A DISTINGUISHED ELDER OF OUR COMMUNITY, JOANNA MACY
Joanna Macy has inspired us throughout her long and multi-faceted history with Earth Island.
As a treasured, wise elder of our community, she inspires us with her deep ecology philosophy and activist practice. Joanna has worked with and advised many of our project directors over the years. Her late husband Fran Macy was a longtime Earth Island project director with the Center for Safe Energy.
