The Infamous Burlesque/Electroswing Dance Party Supreme!
The West Coast's internationally acclaimed burlesque dance party returns to San Francisco on Saturday, July 2nd at the Chapel.
On Saturday, July 2, 2016, the west coast's infamously wild burlesque dance party, Trapeze, lights up summer with a full throttle foray into voodoo, volume and voluptuousness. This is a daring one. Experience the incandescent camarilla of live performers beautifully bathed in brilliant illumination and bounced through a hypnotic habitat of sight, sound and salaciousness that unveils the retro-futuristic dance party world of Hypno-Electropia. Melding feverish Weimar cabaret with plutonium-grade electro-swing, Trapeze lures a bevy of underworld flappers, vipers, vamps, and villains to a bass-fueled night of jazz age abandon. Burlesque performances by Miss Eliza DeLite from London, Meka La Creme, Tana the Tattooed Lady, Kitty Oaks, Wily Minx Burlesque and Fou Fou Ha! Plus musical guests Delachaux, The Klown, The Speakeasy Syndicate, Limbs Akimbo featuring Sevon Caneri and your hosts emcees Miss Emma Nation and Jasper de Tarr.
'From LA to Vancouver, the wandering burlesque dance party known as Trapeze has been scorching stages and seducing dance floors with an immersive kaleidoscope of haunting melodies and seismic beats. Driven by San Francisco DJ/Producer duo Delachaux and The Klown, Trapeze has been christened as the official lightning rod of the west coast underground's burgeoning electro-swing cult and features a parade of DJs, dancers and demimondes with a cheeky, bass heavy taste for vintage, old world wonder that's been spliced, diced and hotwired on tomorrow's sonic dope. Recently heralded by the SF Examiner, LA Weekly and Insomniac Magazine as one of underground dance music's most innovative directions, Trapeze continues to ambush swelling audiences with some of the most uniquely refreshing sights and sounds in contemporary nightlife
