Info:
Meet the midwives of Bay Area Midwifery, and take a tour of our beautiful birth center. Learn more about birth at home or at the center. We will discuss how to choose a midwife, safety concerns, and how we can support your family during your pregnancy, birth and early parenting.
At BAM you choose your midwife and you work directly with her throughout your pregnancy, forming a close, trusted relationship. Midwives Pearl Yu, Laura Perez, Treesa McLean, and Kristen Graser each have their own private practice, years of experience and each has her own unique midwifery style, which allows you to have just the "right fit"
Our birth center is bright and warm, with a large main birth suite, and a great classroom where we offer support groups, childbirth classes and we also host the local La Leche League. We have been part of the Oakland Community for many years. We have a smaller secondary birth suite and two prenatal rooms as well. Another midwife Rebecca Plum offers Solo Parenting and Queer Parenting support groups as well as childbirth classes. Tabitha Ames offers childbirth classes especially designed for home and birth center births. We believe in community!
At BAM you get the personal service of your midwife while belonging to a larger birth community as well, with the opportunity to participate in free pregnancy and postpartum groups, and special events.
Join us for our tour to see how special your birth can be. RSVP 510-836-1506
