Info:
Join us for an intimate and informative class designed specifically for parents who have given birth before and are looking to set aside some time to think about this upcoming birth, baby, and the great changes that will follow.
We will begin by sharing birth stories, exploring the highs and lows of your past experiences and differentiating them from this upcoming birth. Then we will review what to expect from this upcoming labor, how it may be different this time, and how to integrate what you've learned from your experiences thus far. We'll discuss tools and tricks for labor support, exploring how each birthing parent would most like to be supported and how each birth partner can feel supported in that process. To wrap up the class, we'll talk about your older children - who they are, what your hopes and concerns may be, whether and how to have them present for the birth itself, and how to speak with and prepare them for their new little sibling and how their family will be changing.
This course is offered as a private class in clients homes and as a group class at Bay Area Midwifery: A Community Wellness & Birth Center in Oakland.
