The Power of Faith event will be the first time in a number of years that various denominations and faith organizations will come together to meaningfully share best practices on how to serve our community.
The primary intent of the event organizers Alameda County Supervisor Keith Carson, joined by faith leadership from multiple faith organizations, including the Church of Latter Day Saints, Catholic Church, Berkeley Buddhist Temple, Temple Sinai, Islamic Networks Group, East Bay Housing Organizations and East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation, as well as youth leaders, social service organizations and community members at large, will be to focus on highlighting how faith organizations are providing services to communities.
The free event on September 29th will provide an opportunity for all faith community members to show the impact of their work, to collaborate, and to share best practice on ways to serve our community.
