BOSS 45th Anniversary Gala - A Mardi Gras Party! Celebrating BOSS's Past, Present, and Future-Creating Hope and Opportunity. Silent auction, special guests, legacy awards presentation, New Orleans jazz dinner with Creole Specialties and dancing.
This October marks the agency's four and a half decades of impactful work in the Bay Area. The award-winning organization has innovated a number of 'firsts' in the field of fighting homelessness in the region (e.g. first emergency shelter for homeless persons with mental illness in California, State demonstration projects in adult education and employment services for homeless people). BOSS's most recent expansion has been in the field of reentry services-education, training, employment, street outreach, and violence prevention work to help formerly incarcerated individuals and families successfully reintegrate into our communities: an urgent and growing need.
