Info:
Host Kollin Holtz (Viceland's TV show "Flophouse"), and one of the Bay Areas Best Bartenders, Steve Dalton, celebrate two years of the comedy showcase "Safe Words - a comedy show at a Leather Bar." On September 7th, the Eagle features comedians, complimentary hotdogs, and a bartender who can literally pour a liquid rainbow across seven shot glasses. The stage is home to local performers, and features nationally touring comics from the likes of Margaret Cho, to others seen on HBO, Comedy Central, Network TV, the Internet and beyond. The open mic runs from 6-8pm every 2nd-5th Wed., with the showcase (that always has hotdogs) every 1st Wed. from 8-10pm at the historic LGBT leather bar.
Kelly Anneken is well-known as the co-host of the internationally popular Downton Abbey podcast "Up Yours, Downstairs." Her writing has also been published by The Mary Sue, KQED Pop, and The Tusk.
Nick Stargu is best known for his multimedia / musical comedy act, DJ REAL, which has been featured at Outside Lands, San Francisco Sketchfest, Bridgetown Comedy Festival and more!
Irene Tu is an SF based comedian, writer, and actor. In 2016, she was named one of the "Bay Area's 11 Best Stand Up Comedians" by the SFist and one of 20 "Women to Watch" by KQED.
Named SF Weekly Best of Award Winner for "Racial Humor You Don't Feel Guilty Laughing At" and one of the Bay Area's "Top 5 Comedians to Watch" by the San Jose Mercury News, Kaseem Bentley is an African American insult comic from SF.
Andrew Moore and Spencer DeVine met at a comedy competition, but once they were living in the "comedy frat" known as the Sylvan House, the two combined their comedic workings to create MooreDevine, a sick jam factory of comedy awesomeness.
Credited on Viceland's TV show "Flophouse," and featured in a Ben & Jerry's Brrr-ito commercial Kollin Holtz also produces material for a variety of internet blogs, comedy magazines, and a sporadic podcast called 'Closet Talk.'
