Opening reception Friday, September 9, 6-9PM exhibition runs through October 29
uBe Art gallery, located in the B-Side Hood of Berkeleyan up-and-coming cluster of shops, restaurants and art and entertainment venueslaunches into September with an exhibition devoted to still life.
The Opening Reception for the juried exhibition, Still Life: Past, Present and Future, taking place on Friday, September 9, from 6-9PM, showcases 39 still life works covering a wide spectrum of medium and genre from artists across the country.
The mold was broken with creations like Claes Oldenburg's Tea Bag and Jim Dine's Bathrobe.
uBe aims to explore everything from the bizarre to the beautiful- from genetically modified fruit to the classic table settings.
