Noe Valley Chamber Music kicks off its 2nd season of Classical Kids, a new chamber music program for young children and their families, with the highly regarded ensemble Friction Quartet. Friction will play excerpts from Beethoven to Janacek, as well as exciting arrangements of pop songs by Lady Gaga, Brittany Spears and Michael Jackson designed to keep kids moving and engaged.
Doors open half an hour before each show.
The concert lasts approximately 45 minutes, and is suitable for all ages. The performances are designed for preschool and elementary age children.
Coffee, tea and light snacks will be provided.
TICKETS are $15-$40 ($15 per person, $40 family pass for up to 4 people Children 2 and under FREE.)
PROGRAM: Bad Romance by Lady Gaga, arr. by Friction Cellist Doug Machiz Andy Akiho quartet Excerpts from Beethoven Quartet Op. 59 and Janacek's String Quartet No. 2
Weaving together familiar tunes and songs from folk, pop, classical and beyond, the Quartet will help young listeners make connections to different types of music and introduce musical concepts to audiences of all ages.
