Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir celebrates the holidays and pays homage to the great city of Oakland and all its musical excellence!
Join Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir (OIGC) for its 31st Annual Holiday Concert at The Paramount Theatre, dedicated to the beautiful city of Oakland, CA. This will be a stunning and uplifting night of performances, directed by Terrance Kelly. The Holiday concert will feature an exciting line up of Bay Area artists including Kev Choice, Linda Tillery, John Santos, and the dynamic ASL duo, Half-N-Half.
For the last 20 years OIGC has celebrated the holidays with its annual concert at the historic Paramount Theatre in Oakland,CA. This city has been a great inspiration and home for the Oakland Interfaith community since 1986 when OIGC's artistic director, Terrance Kelly, founded the gospel choir. Oakland is a city that, in its essence, has an amazing quality that brings together people of different faiths and ethnicities. Oakland Interfaith is a community that continues to strive to reflect this diversity. OIGC is truly excited to pay homage to this beautiful city at this year's Annual Holiday Concert.
In addition to inspiring local guest artists, Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir, Community Choir, and Youth Choir will fill the night with an amazing repertoire of traditional holiday music, in the style of black gospel and spiritual music traditions. OIGC will also be hosting a barrel for the Alameda Food Bank, a community food bank that serves thousands of people throughout the East Bay.
