The Festival of Bad Ad Hoc Hypotheses (BAH!) is a celebration of well-argued and thoroughly researched but completely incorrect scientific theory, Friday, October 28, 8PM at the Castro Theater in San Francisco. Six brave speakers will present their bad theories in front of a live audience and a panel of judges with real science credentials, who together will determine who takes home the coveted sculpture of Darwin shrugging skeptically. Keynote speaker is Nerdist Science Editor Kyle Hill with judges including Mary Roach, author of multiple New York Times bestsellers such as STIFF: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers and 2015 BAHFest West Champion Louis Evans. Evan's winning talk, Prostrate Sleep Posture as a Protective Adaptation, inspired a new generation of humans to sleep lying down. Tickets are $10-$40 at http://www.bayareascience.org/event/bahfest-2016/
