Red Brick Studios presents, Reading Next to Kilns, an evening of art and reading on November 5th, 7pm at 3265 17th Street (between Mission and Capp) 3rd floor. Poetry, Pots and Prose. Readers include Rohan DaCosta, Sarah Kobrinsky, Arisa White and Kenneth Wong.
Hosted by Maw Shein Win and Vince Montague, Reading Next to Kilns is a spontaneous and random exhibition space for artists and writers. The series highlights working poets and writers inside a sculpture and ceramic studio in the heart of the Mission district of San Francisco.
Reading Next to Kilns hopes to bring artists and poets together in an intimate environment to share work and build community. Like reading next to a campfire, or being read to by candlelight, reading, imagination and art seem born of the same flame.
Red Brick Studios is an independent collection of artists working primarily in clay. They are located on the third floor of the Red Lick building at 17th and Mission.
