Info:
Afrikin is a celebration of history, culture, people – us. Through music, talks, exhibitions, and food, we’ll highlight the ingenuity, economic, and social opportunities of Africa and the African diaspora.
Evenings are dedicated to Afrikin Music Fest, which will showcase the most influential and celebrated musical acts of the African diaspora.
Afrikin Talks will be held during the daytime of the Festival. Notable guest speakers such as Mutabaruka, Dr. Sonia Sanchez, and Dr. Gregory Tate will inform, empower, and share human and capital resources with festival goers.
Afrikin Fest will also host a platform for innovators to gain exposure and connect with leaders in various industries. Through our exhibitions and workshops, we’ll encourage collaborations between influencers and emerging ingenues, while contributing to the vibrant culture in the city of Miami.
We’re curating the finest in African inspired cuisine that will be available at our full-service pop-up restaurants. Please your palate and enjoy a glass of South African wine while people watching from our “restaurant row” style setup, reminiscent of Miami’s famous Lincoln Road cafes.
Proceeds from Afrikin will benefit Give Me Dignity, an organization that raises awareness about Childhood Sexual Abuse (CSA), as well as Hurricane Matthew relief efforts.
