Soprano Hope Briggs, Mezzo-soprano Betany Coffland, tenor Amitai Pati and bass Anthony Reed will join Maestro Michael Morgan, the Oakland Symphony and Oakland Symphony Chorus for a performance of Bruckner's Te Deum Friday, March 31, at 8 pm at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland. Also in the program are Dvorak's Symphony No. 9 in E minor "From the New World" and Bay Area composer Gabriela Lena Frank's Concertino Cusqueno. The Dvorak was chosen by a "Vote for Music" audience choice last season. The concert will be preceded by lobby entertainment and a pre-concert talk by John Kendall Bailey beginning at 7 pm and free to ticket holders. The concert is sponsored by the Oakland Symphony Business in the Arts Networking Circle.
