Coffee roasting experts from San Francisco's Sightglass Coffee will be in front of the Conservatory of Flowers on the Palm Terrace to explain how they source, roast, and brew a wondrous cup of coffee. Processing methods, varieties, growing altitudes, climate, soil and farm conditions are a few of the many factors that shape and determine a coffee's overall quality. Drop by anytime that afternoon to learn about the process, then, if you wish, visit the Conservatory's own Coffea arabica plants inside the greenhouse (event is free, entry to the Conservatory requires admission).
This event is part of Conservatory Curiosities, a summer series of free, outdoor guest demonstrations related to the plant collection inside.
