The hoppiest day of the year is back! Hawthornes Beer Cafe (738 S. 11th Street) presents the 8th Annual IPA, Champagne and Rose Block Party on Saturday, July 1, 2017 from 12:00pm to 8:00pm. Come out for one of South Philadelphia's largest spring block parties, with over 75 total selections of beers, champagnes and roses, plus music, family fun, food and much more. The party will stretch from Fitzwater to Catharine Streets on 11th Street. From the kitchen, look for street food and block party back-yard favorites. Enjoy music and entertainment from The John McNutt Trio, Las Palabras, DJ Christophonic and DJ Lexx. For the kids, head to the Kids’ Zone with a giant bubble wand, chalk obstacle course, bean bag toss, hula hoops, face painting and a giant inflatable slide. The event is open to all ages, 21 and older to drink. Rain date Sunday, July 2, 2017. Admission is free. All drinks and food are pay-as-you-go. Cash only.
